There's something called a volume doubling time. Anything in less than 20 days is extremely fast, and actually is more suggestive of infectious or inflammatory ede ies. The average lung cancer volume doubling time is bout a hundred days. And then some indolent lepitic adnos can be up to a thousand days. So that roughly three month interval between scans makes sense if it takes about a hundred days to see significant growth.
