Is There a Toilet in China?

I have some really funny memories of it there. Like they didn't have toilets. It was like a pit in the ground with the wooden planks, you know, that kind of thing out in public. And because we were foreigners, you couldn't go to the toilet in privacy. Any time you wanted to go to the bathroom, 50 little Asian kids would fall into the toilet. So I started getting very nervous about going to the bathroom and I'd have to sort of take a torch and go at it at night time when no one else was around.
