I'm still a big believer in advocate of open chain, verse, closed chain type work. I really do believe that when we're dealing with athletes the more key lifts that are going to be based in that closed chain position is going to be far more favorable. So if I'm doing back squats, there's no reason why you can't execute the same outcome using a number of knee dominant lifts. If someone can't do a full blind plyometric work they need some sort of velocity output in them. Especially in a team environment where you get so many niggles from training and games.
