When my mother died years ago, and i always think of my mam around christmas time, but my father, who was a committed christ follower, had an internal struggle. Three days after the funeral, he said to me, jeff, i just don't understand why god took my wife and your mother. I knew he wasn't asking me as his son. He was asking me as a pastor.
