The Legend of the Mannequin
The mannequin is believed to be the daughter of a bridal shop owner in Mexico City. She died suddenly before her wedding, and locals believe she was killed by spiders or scorpions. La Pasquilita has been on display since 1967; visitors are not allowed to get close enough to change her dress. The store's employee says: "I believe she's a real person"
