The Outer Space Treaty of 1967
The 1959 Antarctic Treaty set down the idea that Antarctica belongs to everyone and is there as a place for scientists to explore. That document then in many ways formed the starting point of even the language that was used in the later space treaty. So it all starts with Antarctica and ironically this is now where we train a lot of people. so one step at a time. Thank you Patrons.
