In 1798, the Federalist Party passed the Alien and Sedition Acts that were meant to weaken the press. In 1861, the government identified and shut down newspapers that supported the Confederate cause. Henry Ford owned the Dearborn Independent; guess what he published? Well, some of what he published was anti-Semitic and Jewish, Jewish conspiracy theories. There was a book called the China Lobby in American Politics written by some guy, Ross Cone. This book was suppressed in a coordinated effort by the State Department, the CIA, the Federal Bureau of Narcotics. And this is at the behest of the Chinese National Nationalist Party.
