The Myth of Mobility
The concept of economic mobility is measured as trying to figure out where a child will end up when they're an adult. If the world was perfectly mobile, their family roots wouldn't have anything to do with where they ended up. But immobility refers to the fact that you often end up looking a lot like your parents and so if you start in the bottom, you end up staying in the bottom.
