The Benefits of Using Autonomous Vehicle Technology in Public Transit
Autonomous vehicle technology does not replace the operator. And so you don't get any cost savings. You could potentially get better performance, but you don'tget either cost savings nor do you get better geometric efficiency. So that's where the real gain is to be had. If the bus operator is effectively, you know, truly the cruise director, then we can make the experience of public transit much better.
