Go is still a rewrite of the dot cloud platform so in a way it's kind of v2 of the the core of dot cloud right and new stuff is now 100 built on on docker. One thing we wanted to avoid was cutting corners you know if it was going to be a clean rewrite you had to be a real clean rewrite with no cheating, he says. Go also has this really nice property of compiling to a static binary which you just drop somewhere and it runs which is just awesome.
