Dan O'Brien: Joe Rogan never took my advice when I was his dad. He's trying to get Alex to understand that there is a tendency among people, particularly people who have certain forms of mental illness. But at no point is he dealing with the fact that he created these or encouraged these tendencies in people. It could easily be interpreted as saying amateur gumshoes should get out there and stock people.
