How Many Dog Years Does One Human Year Equal?

The average dog year might be about ten years of human life, but it really varies from dog to dog. A great dane would be considered geriatric at seven years, whereas a chaa might be considered gerriatric at 12 or 14 and could well live 18 or 19 years. Whereas a great dane won't likely make it past a decade. The average dog might live 11 or 12 years; there's a lot of variation.
