i can't remember what it was like before beginning this river. It started twenty years ago, and i don't have much memory fom before then. I think most when you ask me about my six year old features, as a four-year-old, quite a lot in underland. And an i took him up to these spring sites, nr. Near our house, ad where where the book ends, the book surfaces. But there they should be a place of life, where water rises from wells up from within the ground. But they were, they were dead, and there was nothing. There was no life. They'd shrunk to a puddle and a mud bath...
