The Rise and Fall of Aaron Spelling
Aaron Spelling had so many shows on ABC that the network was dubbed Aaron's Broadcasting Company. Barry Diller, head of Fox, wanted a new show for his cable channel and suggested Class of Beverly Hills. Author Sarah Bunting: "Spelling sort of found it's like more surface soapy with a sudsy level" Writer Darren Starr says they were having trouble casting Brandon Walsh in 1990.
