Is There a Parallel Between Purity Culture and Sexual Trauma?
The first stage of my recovery was all religion is bad. I hate everyone who's religious. That was stage one. Stage two, three, four is, I see nuance now. I've seen how life giving it can be. And that can be true of all kinds of types of trauma. So there is a question that says, is asking for tips on navigating partnership with someone who is recovering from purity culture? Mm hmm. What do you think? The phrase purity culture is relatively new to me. When I think of that, I think of like white evangelical Christians. It affects most folks because they've grown up in that same air and it reminds them of their experiences.
