Do No Harm

The first wave of the internet came out of silikan valley and people started surfing the web in the 19 nineties. The interesting thing is, washington's policy response was very enlightened. It said, you know what, we got to see where this goes before we come in with a heavy handed regulatory approach. And it led to the united states really dominating that first wave the internet. But today, many argue those early tech firms were given too much freedom, too much leeway, to build platforms that have become dominant.
