Chaucer knows that he's playing with people's sense of propriety in here, d and he's going to play both high and low. And i don't know why i haven't done it before. You mention that people in chaucer's days probably am argued over the significance or the propriety of a of these stories. I love that line, diverse folk, diversely said.
