How to Teach Offense
"We've never tried to teach offense. We haven't," Tofer says. "It's not a slap shot. It's a sifter." If you're teaching the defense, but I need to keep him wide and put him in the least amount of ice, he adds. That's why offense is hard to teach because defensive principles are directly counter to what good defensive principles are. And until we start talking about offense as offensive principles and that they are directly counterto what good defensive Principles are, I don't know that we can answer this question.
