Fox developed a new imaging system known as the Cinema Scope. This method takes really large images and compresses them to a normal size. To achieve this ratio between like 3.66 and 2.39 times wider than high, it takes this special anamorphic lens. It also inaugurated a new film era characterized by using the panoramic format.
