It was theorized that the ship's integrity may have been weakened by this fire raging away for those days and weeks prior to the ship leaving. So when it hit the iceberg, the damage was worse than maybe it could have been. Journalists sent in Maloney also pointed out photos like I showed you in which black lines were around 30 feet or about three meters long that could be seen along the ship's hull. But is it a reason to kind of turn away from it? I don't know.
