Polygamy and concubinage wove the thread of disaster and complications throughout the lives of families. The chief lesson taught by history is danger of violating, physically, mentally or spiritually, the personal integrity of women. Just because the prophets of old did this does not make it ok. Joseph smith justified himself and use the prophets to help him feel ok in falling in love with another woman.
