Andrew Keen: This episode has been a little loosey-goosey because I am so tired and I feel like this book has been so mined out as a source of anything. Basically all you need to know about any of the characters is the stuff that I told you already. Hester and Dimmsdale like me in the woods. And this is like the first time they've really had a heart to heart, presumably since the adultery that they did together. The thing about this book as like criticism of Puritans which is a thing that you brought up... Hawthorne has never said look at these stupid people.
