What Happens to Ishmael and Hagar?

Sally Kohn: I'm thinking someone could read this passage and they could question God's character, right? They could say, well, okay, all Ishmael did was laugh. Let's not sort of abandon or cast off these woman and her son into the wilderness where they're about to die. She says we have to recognize that if the Lord is going to protect Isaac, that means protecting him from Ishmael and possibly also Hagar. Kohn: We are trained to think that where the action happens in the movie is where you have the big CGI spectacle. But in these stories, in these biblical stories... pay attention to the dialogue.
