Tsechmann: The attempt by Robert Harbeck to Europeanize this is honorable but difficult and unclear whether it will succeed. Even within the EU the geographical card should be played much more right, says Tsechmann. There are areas that have a much bigger natural competitive advantage in producing cheap energy so presumably some of the production should move there said Tsechman. He also asks if Germany's scheme does their scheme not do this enough or what is the policy action that could lead to a much faster deployment of renewables? "I'm a macro economist thinking mostly about fiscal issues," he adds.
