Senate minority leader mitch mc connell shockingly pushed back against the more extreme elements in his party. The potential of a government shut down is what some republican senators, mike lee, ted cruwz, roger marshall, are using as leverage to do away with byden's vaccine mandate. Mc Connell: "I don't think shutting down the government over this issue is going to get an outcome" Later he'll be bragging about crowd sizes from january sixth. I'm not even kidding.
