How to Measure Oxygen Content in the Blood

There is some value in increasing P little AO2 in patients with acute severe drop in hemoglobin, say a hemoglobin below 2 or 3 grams per deciliter. Placing a child on 100% F2 using a non-rebreeder or placing a child in a hyperbaric chamber where which is called diving can increase the oxygen content significantly. This is very rarely used but may be indicated in patients with severe anemia wherein we have difficulty finding blood for transfusion due to antibody development, etc.
