The First Rules of Boxing

You know the famous Rumble in the Jungle match? It was an African country in Zaire. Because of the time difference that match was fought at 4am in the morning. Muhammad Ali was up at 4am. And then you're actually only full of Z but the 3th or so. I think the government paid a huge amount to have it there, didn't it? The first codified rules were the Queensby rules and they had an explicit rule forbidding boots with having springs. That sounds like it would just be really quite cumbersome and not very helpful.
