The Importance of Attention in Marketing

A lot of people think if they can just get attention, that's most of the battle. So we have to get into the brain in the first place. We can recognize stuff but it still doesn't mean that it's motivating to us at all. Then comes motivation, which is where the brain is metaphorically asking the question, what's in it for me? Do I approach this? Do I avoid it? And unless it’s motivating to us, we won't act. But there is a sequence, a bit of a hierarchy there. Right.
