Introduction
On the Central Coast alone, 24,200 households are in housing stress. 60% of people on the Central Coast don't have income left over for a central item after their paid rent. Nationally, there has been a 5.2% increase in homelessness. High quality affordable housing is safe, it's accessible and quality in design. It can be energy efficient and part of the urban fabric. You may not know that a house in your street is an affordable housing provider. This episode will really peel back the curtain and remove a lot of misconceptions about what affordable housing is. I am interviewing Matt Old from community housing providing business court in large living.
