Mercator Wall Maps for Schools

By the nineteenth century, mercator base maps were well established for navigational purposes. Different variations on the mercater projection were also used for things like calculating missile trajectories. This is just not a great map for learningwhat the world looks like,. It wildly distorts the relative size of various land masses with that dis ortion getting worse the farther away you get from the equator.
