The Transfer of Technology Between the Germans and the Japanese
There were no heads of state at the signing, but Shankar Shek was there. The Japanese military Adashay or maybe the air Adashay to Berlin had witnessed some early flights of the prototype Messerschmitt 262 twin engine jet fighter. It took quite a while for the two German programs to be transferred to Japan. A couple of Japanese submarines made the enormously long globe trotting journeys from Singapore to Germany and loaded aboard a disassembled ME163 with drawings. They did in fact build a duplicate ME163 which did not fly. And then the Japanese Army Air Force contracted with Nakajima, I think, to build a Japanese version of the ME262 that bears a family
