How to Guess a Solution in a Differential Equation
When you take the time derivative of one of these expedentials, um, you will have the energy term come down from the expedential. And because that's the only thing ting to the energy, and we know the energy of the particle because we gave it a momentum am, you can guess this expedential as a solution. As long as it works in the shroding equation, then it is a valid expa, valid a way to write down the state.
