Tedington's Master

Noel Coward grew up in Tedington, a solidly lower middle class family. His father demonstrated organs for a piano manufacturer and didn't really earn much. He was stage struck at the age of 11 when he began acting with well known actors. The master which is what he was often referred to particularly later in his life was something that he invented and insisted upon it wasn't someone else who sort of dubbed him the master.
