A lot of the leaders in our political class don't really understand what equity is. It's a good goal for society to have, right? You want to have an equal playing field and that outcomes are being more widely distributed because more people in the society are through merit increasing their competence. But the idea that those that are in a political class or the elites are going to mess with the levers and force equity as a top down solution, it's demonic,. Because now you have to take people down that are excelling.
