The Argument for Having Kids

A friend of mine once told me that if you don't want to have kids, basically you are neglecting. But then I thought, well, but there are so many things in life that will give you pleasure and rewarding. In our culture, kids are seen as a return of investment. So the narrative is that I raised you to be whatever you are. Now you have to repay me. And even if they were, I'm just like, I don't, I'm not looking after you guys, you know, I don’t want to be responsible. It's never done for selfless reasons because people who have biological children always see what the child can do for them
