The Evolution of Burgundy

In the 1982 book I talk about the reputation of burgundy is based on a false premise. Great and good wine is only made in Burgundy approximately three years out of ten. What has changed since the 90 to 82 edition is that more of the leading negation have decided to purchase our own vineyards. An issue would certainly be telling the story of what's happened in terms of clonal selection and also Massal selection in the last 20 years. There isn't a single brand of Borgo and Rouge which will still dominate at this stage but we get more high quality wines being made at regional level.
