Applying for Clerkships?
When applying for things like clerkships you want to be thinking about what message you might be sending with your writing sample. For me I end up submitting what some people would have probably thought was a fairly controversial topic at the time and then decided frankly I probably don't want to work for anyone who has a problem with this. You know not necessarily that you get dinged for it but you may be setting a message so just make sure you're comfortable with what you're saying.
