There are so many better tools and assistance to write code like that today versus when you did it, your experience would be radically different. Your journey into learning new front end techniques and language is going to be different than it was 20 years ago. There's always complimentary infrastructure and complimentary code even at the application level that has to be developed where you can decide you're more valuable there. But it doesn't necessarily mean you need to do that because there is work around there to deploy that code that is equally as valuable.
