The plan in the united kingdom to put a cap on the cost of heating oil and electricity is not nearly as hare brained an idea as i thought. A lot of brits were under the impression that there was going to be a cap on what their bills were. But it's still going to back fire in that the bill will artificially reduce prices below where they would be in a free market. And so ultimately prices have to rise even more as a result of the controls than they would have risen otherwise.
