The Complexity of Desire
We don't really know the concept of initiating sex or sometimes it's called spontaneous desire versus a receptive or responsive type of desires. It does seem like it changes with setting, a woman who tends to be more of a initiating type of desire early on in marriage often is going to be more receptive type of desire. In teaching receptive desire and how it works, I often hear men who are over 50-55 go, wait, wait,wait, wait. That's me now. Something has shifted in me. Why can't I be this way all the time? Yeah, sorry. How do we change it? I don't know that we do. We can change the intentionality.
