Matthew's Changes to the Genealogy of the Messiah
Matthew has made a few subtle changes to the genealogy, that you have to pay like nerd special close attention to not miss. Most of it is lost in translation from Greek to English. Matthew added one Greek letter to make Asa into Asaf. And then Matthew swapped out the last letter in Ammon, and he changed it to read Amos. Anybody recognize that name? Amos? Who was he? Through prophet, all about social justice, who also prophesied about the coming Messiah.
