Tim walker says the world of gossip is changing and becoming much more vicious. Gossip itself is growing as the tittle tattle spreads to the infinite. The sanctions that used to exist to make you be a good gossiper have been loosened up. To ask people to stop gossiping is just like asking them to stop breathing, i don't think.
