The Two Arrows of Suffering in Buddhism
In Buddhism, there is this concept sort of like two arrows. There are the slings and arrows of just living a life in bodily form and the suffering that comes with that. But there's the extra added arrow of the fear and the writhing and the trying to escape the pain or the identification with that suffering. And again, these could be like entire books and diving into these concepts because they're so nuanced. It's really important that people on the West that might not have a lot of understanding of these don't fall into this orientalist trap.
