How to Write a Song at Home

Most of the writing is just done at home. The two songs I wrote on the piano I did them in LA because I was spending a bit of time out there and so I just booked a studio out. Do you record these ideas on your phone or write them down? What methods do you use to kind of just make a note of ideas? Well I just used the voice memo app now and that's a pretty easy way to record. Some of the most difficult parts is finishing like even if when you'd really determined to finish, it was very difficult to decide which parts I was going to use for verse and lifts and course and stuff like that.
