Learning Japanese With Ajit
When he first started learning Japanese with Ajit, I took kotsamata's advice and did lazy kanji. But the thing is because it's so much easier, you don't end up learning them as well. And this was combined with the fact that I just wanted to finish the Kanji stage and get onto the next more interesting sentence phase as soon as possible. So I was doing like 50kanji a day, not spending a lot of time making mnemonics or making good visualizations or stories. This plus the fact that the recognition is inherently easier basically led to me not learning the kanji very well.
