In 1989, less than 1% of Manhattan was attending an evangelical church. By 2014, that number had grown to 54,000 people out of a million in the area. "There's lots and lots and lots of mainline churches," he says. The problem they have is you start to say, why do I have to get up on a Sunday morning to just do what I could do anyway?
