The UK's Performance After the Pandemic
The economy has not exactly been exceptional since the crash. And we're limping along behind quite a lot of other Western European nations in terms of our recovery from the pandemic. We are particularly exposed to the parts of the economy that were most affected by COVID, hospitality and recreation. The number of deaths that we saw is a reflection of an underlying lack of structural investment in our health and social care system. I think that is something that's held back the economy.We can also point to frictions with trade with Europe, otherwise known as Brexit, which helped me halt this article.
