How Did You Come to Write a History of the Democratic Party?
Michael Wolraich has been a lifelong democrat, but he's had some embiblances about the party. He says that for practical reasons, leftus needed to be democrats. But in the end, there was no other way to have an impact in american politics if you were on the left. And i return to some of the least hopes possibilities that existed during the new deal years. I still odously think that really since the mcgoverned campaign way back in 19 72, really the first time that a a lot of people on the left decided that democrats were the place to be.
