When I first was doing my like, PhD even, I was like trying to be stealth, which is, you know, a questionable decision. And I don't feel comfortable being very open about being trans in these kind of contexts. That is something that definitely kind of limits the kinds of academic work you can do. But there are lots of ways that being non-tenant track works out for me means I don't have to like do academic research, which actually turns out to be wonderful.
