A Solomon's Desires Are Taking a Backseat
One of the other things that we read in deuteronomy 17, in the charter for kings, is that he should not have many wives. He couldn't marry wives from other nations because they will draw him away. So to have a large, a, a large harum of wives in the ancient world is a sign of political influence if you've got many, many wives. This is probably the frence between wives and concubines. I mean, the wives are oe represented those political and trade alliances.
